Cultural & Historical Significance
From a national, county and local level, postcards captured our past like no other medium. All reflective of a place, time, people and events. Specifically, our postcard collection was proactively collected and curated with subject categories such as farm life, politics, art, greeting cards and events such as Eucharistic Congress 1932. The topographical postcards cover all 26 counties. Uniquely, we captured and digitised the message on the back.
